Yesterday we wrapped up our Spring XBL season! It was a great ending to a great season. We kicked the day off with our Junior Division Shooting Contest and the winner was Cole Frederick of the Cervi Bulls!

The first round of games in the Junior Division were all close and exciting. In the semi-finals, both games were determined by a single basket. The Golden Legends advanced to the finals with an overtime win over the Lakers. Team Zion advanced to the finals by a 1-point tough battle against the Wildcats. With no subs at all, the Golden Legends played their hearts out and won the championship!  Owen Obrochta was awarded Junior Division A MVP and Chance Ciarulo of Team Zion was awarded Junior Division B MVP.

The day was equally exciting in the Senior Division. Aaron Galas was the winner of the Senior Division 3-point shooting contest. After a back and forth game between The Nets and The Truth, Nate Nunweiler got fouled on a made 3-pointer with seconds left to advance his team to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Bill’s Bulls battled hard but fell to the Braves. After a back and forth first half in the finals between the Braves and G’s Gladiators, Julian Ramos provided G’s Gladiators with a spark to pull ahead. The Braves kept it close the rest of the way but could never close the gap. G’s Gladiators defended their crown as Senior Division Champs. Jeremey Copeland led his team to victory with 18 points and was awarded Senior Division A MVP and Zachary Doering of the Braves was awarded Senior Division B MVP.

Thanks to all our coaches, parents, and players for a fun season! We hope to see you all back for our fall season in September.
