In their second match up of the season, the 76ers came out strong in the second half to beat the Warriors. It was a great team win. Mazur led the way with 20 points and T.Bauer added 16. The Warriors were only down by 2 points at half time, but could not over the deficit. They were led by Phillips who had a game-high 27 points. He is currently the Senior Division leading scorer. Horning put up 17 points with an over-all great performance.
The Bolters led by 1 point at half time and outscored the Tigers by 2 in the second half to secure the win. It was a close and exciting game, with both teams playing well. The Tigers played as a team and had 4 players score 6 points each. Bontzolakes and G. Barnwell led the Bolters to victory with 13 and 12 points respectively.
The Bulls/Warrior game was the highest scoring game of the season! Hayden Wolf scored almost a quarter of his team’s points – 23. He also had a number of assists and played great defense, earning him Player of the Week! Fitzgerald had an impressive 20 points for the Bulls while Kukoleca had 17 and Rowe had 16. It was a great team win! The Warriors fought hard, until the last minute. Phillips continued to dominate with 25 points for the Warriors. He is currently the Senior Division leading scorer.
The 76ers won their first game of the season against the Bulls. They were down by 2 points at the half, but an excellent shooting effort in the 2nd half led them to victory. It was a great team effort as every person on the roster scored. M. Bauer led the way with 21 points. Corcoran added 11 points while Frys, Juliano and T. Bauer each chipped in 10 points. Every person on the Bulls rosters also scored, but their shots could not seem to fall in the second half. Kukoleca led the way with 18 points while Rowe added 15 and Fitzgerald added 13.
The Cougars won their 4th game of the season, pulling them into 1st place after 5 weeks of play. After only being up by 1 point against the Bolters at half-time, the Cougars came out strong in the second half to secure the win. They were led by McCoy who led all scores of the day with 23 points. He is currently the leading Junior Division scorer in the league. The Bolters were short on numbers, but still put up a good fight. Bontzolakes and Roberts once again led their team with 11 and 8 points respectively.
